Marketing to Hispanic Consumers: An Introductory Seminar

We appreciate your interest in the Marketing to Hispanic Consumers seminar. This 4-hour seminar provides participants an overview of the basic marketing principles involved in selling products or services to Hispanic consumers. Whether you are an employee of an organization that serves Hispanic consumers, or a business owner that plans to offer a product or service to Hispanics, the seminar will get you started on the right track and help you avoid some of the most common mistakes in marketing to Hispanic consumers.

The seminar leader is Dr. Edward T. Rincón, president of Rincón & Associates in Dallas, Texas and a faculty member at SMU where he has taught a course on Hispanic Marketing, and will begin a new course on Research with Hispanic Populations. For the past 30 years, Dr. Rincón has evaluated multicultural marketing campaigns for many of the nation's largest companies. His research studies are frequently cited in the news media, and he regularly presents to many industry organizations on Hispanic marketing issues. Dr. Rincón has also taught college-level courses on survey research methods and focus group techniques.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand key language and cultural nuances about Hispanic consumers
  • Distinguish facts from stereotypes
  • Identify good and bad research practices with Hispanic consumers

  • Avoid common mistakes in advertising and public relations
  • Create Hispanic-friendly shopping environments

The seminar is conducted once a month at our conference room located on the first floor at 6500 Greenville Avenue, Dallas TX 75206. Texas (click here for map). The seminar starts at 8:00 am and concludes at noon. Each participant receives a notebook that includes the lesson units and exercises to reinforce important concepts. The individual seminar fee is $300 or $250 for two or more persons from the same company. Currently enrolled full-time college students can register for a fee of $150 if enrollment is verifable.
