Latino Economic Snapshot
Dallas/Ft. Worth
  • Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
2
The Concept
  • What is it?  Latino Economic Snapshot  is an informational tool that was developed to help Hispanic chambers of commerce take a more proactive role in stimulating interest and investment in local Hispanic firms and consumers. It provides trends on the growth of Hispanic firms and consumers as well as their economic expenditures in the local market.
  • Why is it needed?  As interest in the Hispanic market continues to grow, local Hispanic chambers of commerce are often the first point of contact for many companies – both domestic and international -- who are searching for new business opportunities. The opportunity to promote the local Hispanic market to such companies, however, is sometimes lost because basic information about the local Hispanic-owned firms and consumers is not readily available on chamber web sites. Without basic information about the size and growth of local Hispanic-owned firms and consumers, companies may look elsewhere to launch a new marketing campaign, plan a conference, setup a new branch or sponsor key Hispanic events.
  • Who benefits?  Aside from serving as an educational tool, the statistical information included in the Latino Economic Snapshot will likely help chambers of commerce by increasing visitors to their web sites, improve interest in membership,  stimulate  local investment, and improve the chamber’s visibility in the business community.
